How to Use the Talent Tree Reference
Start with the class you play, then open the tree that matches the build you are planning. The reference is static HTML: every talent row remains readable with JavaScript disabled, including the rank text and the source status for each rank. That makes the pages useful for checking a build on a phone, citing a talent in a guide, or comparing a changed talent with its Classic version.
- Use the class cards for a complete reference covering all three trees.
- Use the tree links when you only need one section of a class page.
- Open the calculator when you want to spend points and validate a build.
- Open the leveling build guide when you need a ready-made take order.
Talent Tree Structure and Rules
WoW Forever keeps the classic three-tree layout. A level 60 character has 51 talent points: the first point arrives at level 10 and every level after that adds one more. Points spent in one tree do not unlock rows in another tree, so the calculator checks both row gates and prerequisites before it accepts a point.
Rows beyond the first require points spent in earlier rows of the same tree. Some individual talents also require a specific rank in an earlier talent. The reference pages label both requirements and list the Classic counterpart for every talent, including talents that were moved, changed, added, or removed.
Rank text coverage in the current dataset is 1301 of 1302 ranks. Missing text is labeled as unknown rather than filled with a guess, and each rank keeps its own evidence status.
Open a Class Talent Calculator
The tree reference is for reading and checking facts. To plan a build, use the calculator link in the matching class cluster above. That opens a class calculator where you can spend points, undo changes, save a setup locally, and share a link without creating an account.
Sources and Update Notes
Talent structure, prerequisites, rank text, and Build Code ordering come from the official WoW Forever talent export. Classic comparison metadata comes from talentsforever.com. Both sources are credited on the data and sources page.
