What Are the Warlock Talent Trees in WoW Forever?
The generated route uses Affliction with five points spilling into Demonology. Wrack requires Siphon Life 1, Soul Siphon scales with other Affliction effects, and the new Soul Harvest replaces Soul Harvesting. Read the removal list before planning around Dark Pact, old drain talents or the Classic stone upgrades.
Each card below shows that tree’s actual talent count, deepest row, row-gate value, and the direct prerequisites attached to its key talents. The calculator enforces the same snapshot data.
Affliction
Affliction is the leveling starting route. Improved Corruption and Improved Drains appear early, Soul Siphon rewards stacking other Affliction effects, and Wrack needs Siphon Life 1. Do not budget for Dark Pact or the older removed drain/curse upgrades. Direct prerequisite gates- Soul Harvest — No direct talent prerequisite; only the row gate applies. Row 2; maximum rank 2.
- Siphon Life — No direct talent prerequisite; only the row gate applies. Row 5; maximum rank 1.
- Wrack — Requires Siphon Life rank 1. Row 7; maximum rank 1.
Demonology
Demonology is the pet-focused alternative. Master Summoner 2 gates Fel Domination, Demonic Sacrifice 1 gates Soul Link, and Soul Link 1 gates Demonic Pact. The route spills five points here, but a dedicated demon plan should start with the pet and survivability links rather than copying that spillover. Direct prerequisite gates- Demonic Sacrifice — No direct talent prerequisite; only the row gate applies. Row 3; maximum rank 1.
- Soul Link — Requires Demonic Sacrifice rank 1. Row 5; maximum rank 1.
- Demonic Pact — Requires Soul Link rank 1. Row 7; maximum rank 1.
Destruction
Destruction is the direct-damage tree. Intensity 3 gates Pyroclasm, Conflagrate 1 gates Fire and Brimstone, and Bane of Havoc 1 gates Incinerate. Shadow and Flame links Conflagrate and Shadowburn to opposite-school damage bonuses. Direct prerequisite gates- Conflagrate — No direct talent prerequisite; only the row gate applies. Row 4; maximum rank 1.
- Fire and Brimstone — Requires Conflagrate rank 1. Row 5; maximum rank 3.
- Incinerate — Requires Bane of Havoc rank 1. Row 7; maximum rank 1.
What Changed for Warlock Talents vs Classic?
- Affliction adds Soul Harvest, Improved Drains, Pandemic, Malevolence and Wrack. Wrack requires Siphon Life 1 and extends the tree’s DoT setup.
- Demonology adds Demonic Aegis, Demonic Energies, Improved Felhunter, Demonic Knowledge and Demonic Pact; Soul Link still requires Demonic Sacrifice 1.
- Destruction adds Molten Skin, Bane of Havoc, Fire and Brimstone, Shadow and Flame and Incinerate. Six Affliction, five Demonology and five Destruction Classic talents are absent.
| Tree | New | Changed | Moved | Unchanged | Removed |

Soul Harvesting is not in this snapshot. Soul Harvest is in Affliction row 2. Rank 2 increases Mana regeneration by 100% for 10 sec and allows 100% of normal Mana regeneration to continue while casting.

Where to Start a Warlock Leveling Route
The generated starting route uses Affliction. An Affliction route with five Demonology points for pet support.
This is a rules-checked starting allocation, not a claim that one
warlock tree is the only viable option. The build page
shows every point from level 10 to 60, the official
v9_ Build Code, and the
points at which you should reconsider the route.

Warlock Talent Calculator FAQ
Why is this Warlock page so different from a Classic build guide?
Snapshot 1.60.1.70790 has 17 new Warlock talents, 31 changed entries and 16 Classic removals across the three trees. Names such as Soul Harvest and Wrack are new, and many old curse, drain and stone talents no longer exist. Use the Tree Reference links for the exact rank text before copying a Classic list.
Does the Affliction route use a demon?
The five off-tree points land in Demonology on Improved Imp and Unholy Power, but the core route is Affliction. A dedicated Demonology plan should build around the pet links instead. The generated route only proves that its 51 points are legal in the current snapshot; it does not claim that every Affliction player should take the same demon talents.
Which Warlock talents gate Wrack and Demonic Pact?
Wrack requires Siphon Life 1 in Affliction. In Demonology, Demonic Sacrifice 1 gates Soul Link, and Soul Link 1 gates Demonic Pact. Soul Harvesting is absent, while the new Soul Harvest is an Affliction row-2 talent; check the current text before copying a Classic drain build.
Can I share a build with the WoW Forever Warlock Talent Calculator?
Yes. The Share button in the calculator copies a link to your exact Warlock allocation, including level, class and every point spent. Opening the link restores the build without an account, and the link records the snapshot so its points are checked against the data they were built on.
